HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.—Clemson University is accepting papers for its annual Clemson University Tire Industry Conference April 23-25.
The conference, at the Omni Hilton Head Oceanfront Resort on Hilton Head Island, is for the domestic and international tire industry—including suppliers, customers and allied industries. It is designed to address developments throughout the fields of tire design, research, regulations and manufacturing in all areas directly or indirectly involved in the industry.
Areas that the tire conference will focus on include materials, design, testing, development, improvement, government regulations, environmental and safety. The titles of the four sessions are:
• New technology—manufacturing, design, development;
• Tire industry outlook—regulatory, legislative, economic;
• Materials—traditional and non-traditional; and
• Environmental—efficiency and sustainability.
The university's conference organizers are asking that a prospective paper's title, a short summary/abstract of 250-350 words and the speaker's profile/bio be emailed to Jim Burns, tire conference chairman, at [email protected] before Oct. 31. Each confirmed speaker will be given a 35-minute presentation slot during the conference, Clemson said, and the registration fee will be waived for each confirmed speaker, although each is responsible for his or her own travel and accommodation arrangements.
For more information contact Burns at 864-423-1656 or Nan Johnston, Clemson University, at 800-258-1017 or email [email protected].
