BETHESDA, Md.—The U.S. Adhesive and Sealant Council has appointed Neema Toolaabee as chairman of the association's regulatory affairs committee, effective immediately.
Toolaabee, manager of regulatory and environmental affairs with adhesives and sealants firm DAP, replaces Michael Schmeida, former Tremco director of compliance and sustainability.
Toolaabee joined DAP in 2001 as a product safety specialist and assumed his present position in 2006. He is responsible for facility and corporate environmental compliance, product safety and stewardship, hazardous material transportation compliance and consumer product and weights and measures regulations.
ASC's regulatory affairs committee focuses its efforts on a number of core issues for adhesive and sealant manufacturers in the U.S., including the California safer chemicals rule and the EPA chemical management plan.
