BETHESDA, Md.—Sept. 24 is the date for the second in a series of five 30-minute webinars on the Affordable Care Act sponsored by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association.
The free members-only webinar, scheduled for 11 a.m. EDT, describes the Small Business Health Option Program (SHOP) available through the federal or state marketplace beginning in 2014. Businesses with fewer than 50 full-time employees will have the option of purchasing health insurance through SHOP, while employers with fewer than 25 full-time workers may be eligible for the small employer tax credit.
Anita Baker, managing partner for employee benefit plans at CliftonLarsenAllen L.L.P., will be the presenter for the Sept. 24 webinar. She also will be the presenter for the Sept. 18 webinar on employee eligibility for Health Insurance Exchanges.
