INDIANAPOLIS—Woodlawn Rubber Co., a Cincinnati-based custom rubber molding, compression, transfer and injection firm, has joined the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers.
According to Kirk Heithaus, president of Woodlawn Rubber, the company wants to take advantage of various seminars put on by ARPM.
"We are also interested in gathering knowledge of how other companies do things in their operations, how they go about responding to issues," Heithaus said.
The family-owned company, which focuses on rubber-injection molding, started in 1964 and has 18 employees. Founder Don Heithaus, 84, still works for the company, according to his son.
ARPM, established in 2010 and managed by leaders in the rubbery industry, has more than 40 members.
