DIAMOND BAR, Calif.—Nexen Tire Corp. has named David Sul, senior managing director of its overseas business department since 2009, to become CEO of Nexen Tire America Inc., succeeding Changrin Suk, who is leaving the post, effective Sept. 30.
Suk has been CEO of Nexen Tire America since January 2008. He said he is resigning for personal reasons.
Sul has been with Nexen Tire since October 1988, joining in the business planning department. Among his assignments over the years was a seven-year stretch as manager of Nexen Tire America's La Mirada, Calif., office, from May 1996-August 2003.
Since returning to the firm's South Korean headquarters in 2003, Sul has held four positions within the firm's overseas business department, advancing to senior managing director in January 2009.
Suk came to Nexen from Samsung Corp., where he worked in purchasing with Samsung Electronics.
