REGENSBURG, Germany—Continental A.G. has awarded 13 companies with its automotive "Supplier of the Year" award for 2012 at a ceremony in Frankfurt, Germany.
The awards are based on an annual appraisal of more than 900 suppliers, Conti said. This year's event also brought first-ever presentation of the special innovation award, which Conti presented to two of its most exceptional and innovative suppliers to Infineon Technologies A.G. and Texas Instruments Inc.
Companies honored included NXP Semiconductors N.V., Osram GmbH and Nippon Chemi-Con Corp. for electronics; Omron and Manufacturing Logistics & Services GmbH (ML&S) for electro-mechanical Engineering; Erdrich S.R.O., Ejot Holding GmbH & Co. and LTH Castings D.O.O. for mechanical engineering; VCST Inc. in the chassis and safety division, Hosiden Corp. in the interior division and Hirschvogel Automotive Group in the powertrain division. Awards for investment and engineering services went to Bertrandt A.G .and Baumann Auto Group.
