HOUSTON—The U.S. Zinc Corp. announced that prices will increase between 5-7 percent on its specialty grades of zinc oxide, including its high surface area, low surface area, USP and pelletized grades. The changes will go into effect Aug. 1.
The company said it is implementing these price changes to differentiate between specialty value grades and standard grades because higher grades require more production and manufacturing expense. U.S. Zinc vice president of commercial Tracy Baugh said the price increase would allow the company to expand its capacity, meet market demand and maintain the highest quality.
