DETROIT—Julie Fream, whose 30-year career has included work at automakers and parts makers, will succeed the retiring Neil De Koker as head of the Original Equipment Suppliers Association.
The move takes effect Oct. 1, the association said in a statement today. De Koker, president and CEO of the association, announced his plans to retire in November. He founded the group in 1998. The association represents 450 companies with combined sales of $300 billion.
Fream began her career at General Motors in 1983, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has since worked at Ford Motor Co., TRW and Visteon.
She left Visteon in late 2011 and is listed as a trustee at Oakwood Healthcare.
