TOKYO—Connell Brothers Co. Ltd., a distributor of specialty chemicals and industrial ingredients in Asia-Pacific, said it has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Struktol Co. of America to market and distribute plastic additives that will be made available in the Japanese market.
Struktol polymer additives are used in a variety of thermoplastic resins, compounds and masterbatches, providing improved processability, dispersion of fillers and release properties.
Struktol, headquartered in Stow, Ohio, said its additives can provide functional improvements in compounds such as scratch and mar resistance, odor and volatile control and better mechanical properties.
"Working with Connell Brothers provides us with unique access to the Japanese plastics industry,” said Mike Fulmer, Struktol product manager for plastic additives. “Their existing principles and products complement our product line.”
Connell Brothers, a division of Wilbur-Ellis Co., markets and distributes specialty chemicals and industrial ingredients in Asia-Pacific. Struktol manufactures process additives for the plastics and rubber industries.
