LEVERKUSEN, Germany—Specialty chemicals company Lanxess A.G. said it will increase its prices worldwide for rubber chemicals, effective July 1.
The company blames the increases on higher production costs.
The price increases will affect the Vulkanox (antidegradant) and Vulkacit (accelerator) product groups. The increase will range between 10 cents and 30 cents per kilogram, depending on the product and region.
Rubber chemicals Vulkanox and Vulkacit primarily are used to manufacture tires, hoses and profiles and in the production of drive elements.
