DIAMOND BAR, Calif.—Nexen Tire America Inc. is partnering with the Los Angeles Dodgers to further its local marketing efforts.
Nexen said it will get visibility for its brand by displaying an outdoor billboard placed on the rolling board behind home plate at Dodger Stadium throughout the 2013 season.
"This partnership with the L.A. Dodgers will serve as a good chance to improve Nexen's brand image in the American market as well as enhance the brands status significantly," said Janghwan Lee, director of global marketing at Nexen.
With Hyun Jin Ryu playing for the Dodgers today, following in the footsteps of former Dodger pitcher Chan Ho Park, the number of Korean fans rooting for the Dodgers has increased significantly, according to the tire marketer.
