Hankook receives award from Sears Holdings

WAYNE, N.J.—Hankook Tire America Corp. has been named a 2013 Partner in Transformation for Sears Holdings Corp.

Byeong Jin Lee, president of the Hankook Tire America, accepted the award recently at the Sears Holdings 2013 Vendor Summit.

Sears Holdings said it honors suppliers that excel in supporting the transformation of the company through innovation around the Shop Your Way program, core retail excellence and financial and operational discipline. Of the more than 30,000 suppliers that work with Sears Holdings, less than 0.5 percent receive the award, according to Sears Holdings.

Sears Holdings' associates who make purchasing decisions nominate suppliers for the award. Hankook manufactures Sears' relaunched RoadHandler tires.
