BANGKOK—Thailand's Agriculture and Cooperatives Ministry, trying to prevent fluctuation in the price of natural rubber, has set a price of at 110 baht per kilogram, or about $3.70, according to a government-owned news service.
Deputy Agriculture Minister Yuthapong Charas-sathian announced the price-setting decision after meeting with the Thai Rubber Association, according to the National News Bureau of Thailand. He said that rubber prices have been fluctuating since last month.
He also disclosed there have been purchase requests for Thai rubber from foreign buyers, but no deals have been made so far.
