HARRISBURG, Pa.—Scrap tire recycler Edge Rubber L.L.C. plans to expand operations in Franklin County, Pa., and add 50 jobs, according to the Pennsylvania governor's office.
Edge has leased a 35,000-sq.-ft. building in the Cumberland Valley Business Park for the collection and processing of scrap truck tires into raw materials to send to its Chambersburg plant for processing, the announcement from Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett's office said. The firm already employs 60 at its Chambersburg site.
The state's Department of Community and Economic Development including a $50,000 training grant for employees, and $1.5 million, 10-year, low-interest loan at for machinery and equipment.
Edge Rubber produces fine rubber powders.
