ROME, Ga.—Tom Gravalos has been appointed CEO of Pirelli Mexico and will report directly to Paolo Ferrari, chairman and CEO of Pirelli Tire North America.
The company said Gravalos will be responsible for the operations of Pirelli's newest plant in Silao, Mexico as well as commercial activities in the country.
Gravalos was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. He received a master's degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, and in 1975 he began working for Goodyear in Akron. He joined Pirelli in 2007, becoming vice president of marketing and original equipment for Pirelli Tire North America.
Ferrari said Gravalos will be responsible for consolidating Pirelli's business strategy as well as strengthen its network of distributors, while maintaining original equipment relationships and business in the region.
