MANCHESTER, England—Amin Amiri of a2e Venture Catalysts has acquired controlling interest in British latex mixer Industrial Latex Compounds Ltd.
Industrial Latex is located in Manchester, employs 42 and has annual sales of about $24.5 million. The previous owners of the onetime Dow Chemical Co. business, Bill Fairhurst and John Davison, will stay with the company, according to Amiri.
Financial details of the acquisition weren't disclosed.
Industrial Latex opened in 1966 to serve the tufted carpet industry, according to the firm's website. Since then it has expanded its range of latex compounds to provide a variety of gel and non-gel foams, secondary backing compounds and other textile and carpet treatments and coatings.
