SCHENECTADY, N.Y.—Frank A. Bozich has been named president and chief executive officer of SI Group, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of phenolic resins, alkylphenolic resins, alkylated phenols and other chemical intermediates.
Bozich formerly served as president of BASF's Catalysts Division, a global market supplier of environmental and process catalysts. He succeeds Stephen J. Large, who recently retired.
Bozich also held other leadership positions within BASF, including group vice president, precious and base metal services, and group vice president, Integration Management Office. Prior to joining BASF, Bozich was group vice president, Enterprise Technologies and Ventures at Engelhard Corp. He previously worked at Rohm and Haas, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Dow Chemical Co., and Croda Adhesives, Inc. He also founded Apex Adhesives, which was sold to Croda in 1993.
Bozich holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago and in chemistry from the University of Illinois.
