ST. LOUIS, Mo.—Dash Multi-Corp. has acquired Pathway Polymers, a producer of polyurethane tire fill material and equipment, from the England-based Vita Group.
It's the second major purchase involving Dash, a platform portfolio company of Arsenal Capital Partners, made in the last two days. On May 1, Arsenal bought Arnco, a major producer of polyurethane products with five sizable business units. Both Arnco and Pathway will move under the Dash umbrella with Pathway becoming part of its tire fill operation in the Polyurethane Systems Business Unit.
Dash focuses on the specialty technologies of polyurethane systems, vinyl plastisols and recycled rubber products.
Arnco and Pathway's onetime owner Synair Corp. spent many years in court in a patent dispute over tire-filling material.
Pathway is the inventor of TryFil, a polyurethane tire fill material used to flatproof tires. It also owns the patent on AutoFil Recycler System used in the aftermarket sector and the OE AutoFil Recycler System designed for original equipment manufacturers.
