INDIANAPOLIS—Bando USA Inc. has become the latest company to join the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers.
The subsidiary of Bando Chemical Industries Ltd. of Japan—which has been making belts since 1906 for industrial and automotive applications—is headquartered n Itasca, Ill. Bando USA handles manufacturing, sales and marketing for the company in North, Central and South America.
Bando USA has been active in the rubber industry for years and looks to strengthen this with its ARPM membership.
"Our company has always been involved in the rubber industry and in associations," said Jon Gottschalk, general manager with Bando USA. "At Bando we want to stay on the front edge of technology and voice our input in the various technical advances and issues. We feel that we can do this as part of the ARPM."
The ARPM is made up on non-tire rubber industry companies. It has added a number of new members in the past several months.
