PITTSBURGH—The United Steelworkers union said it has completed a week of contract talks with Goodyear and will resume discussions in June after considering initial proposals.
The Steelworkers are working under a three-year agreement with the tire maker that ends July 27.
The union—which represents 8,500 workers at six Goodyear plants in the U.S.—said the two sides exchanged proposals, and now are analyzing the offers and counter-proposals. The USW put wages, health care and pensions at the top of its list of bargaining issues.
