FORT MILL, S.C.—Continental Tire the Americas L.L.C.'s Commercial Specialty Tire business unit is launching two lines of remolded industrial tires for sale in North America.
The new lines are being sold under the Ameri*Steel and Astrum Blue brands, are made at Conti's joint venture industrial tire plant in Sri Lanka.
The Ameri*Steel line is made from recycled base bands and is offered in a standard black compound with smooth tread design in 11 core sizes. The line offers fork lift operators stationary stability with high load-carrying capacity, Conti said.
The Astrum Blue super elastic solid tire line also will be launched in 17 traction tread pattern sizes for standard rims and Snap-In-Tire rims. It is manufactured from recycled solid tire cores remolded with new rubber and a robust sidewall in a standard black compound.
