MUNICH—Off-highway tire maker Mitas a.s. unveiled the latest addition to its family of ERL earthmover tires during Bauma 2013, an international farm equipment trade show in Munich.
Mitas said the new ERL-50, in size 20.5R25, is designed for use in rocky conditions. It will become available worldwide by July. Mitas' ERL series tires range from 28-90mm in tread depth and are used on loaders, dozers and graders in mining operations.
"Customers demand durability and resistance to damage from our quarry tires, resulting in added value and lowered cost through the retreading of the tire," said Andrew Mabin, Mitas' sales and marketing director. "Mitas has the off-road expertise in industrial, agriculture and motorcycle tires to provide operational solutions."
The ERL-50 is a radial tire designed for durability and resistance to cut and wear, according Petr Hala, Mitas industrial product manager.
