HANOVER, Germany—ContiTech A.G.'s Fluid Technology business has realigned its operation and divided its Heating, Cooling and Turbocharger Unit into two segments.
The company said the Heating and Cooling operation will focus on water-related product areas, as it previously did, while a new Air Induction Systems segment will look at a larger market.
In addition to the production of its charge air lines, the new unit's product range will include all lines for air induction systems, and it will focus on building its plastics expertise.
The move is being made because of divergent developments in the markets for the two segments' product lines and a deviation in product life cycles, ContiTech said.
