HANOVER, Germany—ContiTech Fluid Automotive Hungaria has opened a fuel line production line at its Vac, Hungary plant.
The expansion is part of an investment in production lines and laboratory facilities. The work force has increased by 10 percent, reaching 671, ContiTech said.
"By this summer, Vac will be the production center for all fuel lines destined for the European market," said Petra Beckmann, head of ContiTech fuel supply and exhaust gas management.
ContiTech has expanded its base in Hungary with a new compounding facility in Nyiregyhaza, Hungary, which supplies primary materials to hose production in Mako and ContiTech air spring production in Nyiregyhaza.
At its site in Szeged, Hungary, ContiTech also produces industrial lines, lines for oil and gas extraction and conveyor belt systems.
