EAST LANSING, Mich.—The Michigan Rubber Group will hold a golf outing May 30 at the Michigan State University MSU Forest Akers West golf course in East Lansing, and is seeking corporate sponsors for the fund-raising event.
The course is home to the MSU men's and women's golf teams.
The MRG said the 18-hole scramble begins at 9 a.m., and a luncheon will follow at 2 p.m.
Rooms have been secured at a special rate at the Candlewood Suites at the course, the MRG said. The lower rate lasts until April 15 and can be obtained by calling 800-496-7530.
The rubber group said the outing price is $130, with a $10 discount for those who sign up before May 10. Registration onsite runs from 7:30-8:15 a.m.
For anyone interested in just the lunch and the activities other than golfing, cost is $50.
The MRG is seeking corporate donations to help offset expenses for the event, as well as gifts in kind to be awarded to winners of various holes, special events or raffles. Hole and signage sponsorships also are available.
Proceeds from the golf outing are used for a variety of purposes by MRG, including the funding of scholarships for students from the Ferris State University Rubber Technology Program.
