AKRON—Goodyear will host more than 1,200 students, parents and teachers from across the Akron/Cleveland area April 20 for its 13th annual Engineering Career Day.
During the competition at Akron's Firestone High School, Goodyear said it will give more than $30,000 in grants and scholarships to students and teachers from local high schools and middle schools.
The company said the event will provide an opportunity for students, parents, teachers and business leaders to interact. Several universities and more than 20 Akron/Cleveland-area corporations will have representatives present for an informational fair, panel discussions and hands-on demonstrations to help students learn about careers in engineering.
