HALIFAX, Nova Scotia—Nova Scotia Premier Darrell E. Dexter has issued a proclamation declaring July "Automotive Heritage Month" in the province, according to the Specialty Equipment Market Association.
SEMA credited the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada with the efforts behind the proclamation. Nova Scotia now joins several other Canadian provinces, U.S. states and U.S. and Canadian cities in officially celebrating collector cars, SEMA said.
For the past several years, the U.S. Senate has proclaimed a "Collector Car Appreciation Day" at the urging of SEMA. This year, Collector Car Appreciation Day is July 12.
