TEXARKANA, Ark.—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co.'s Texarkana factory has reached the 350 million mark in tires produced at the facility, the most tires made a single plant in the tire manufacturer's history.
Officials from Cooper, government leaders and community representatives celebrated the occasion March 14. The facility—which opened in 1964—turned out the 350 millionth tire on March 6, a Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx.
The plant employs 1,700.
