WUXI, China—Dana Holding Corp. has opened a 129,000-sq.-ft. technical center in Wuxi, China.
The facility in Jiangsu Province will be home to advanced product and applications engineering for original-equipment manufacturers in the automotive markets, Dana said.
The center features a 62,000-sq.-ft. test lab and 34,000 square feet of manufacturing space. The building is located adjacent to Dana's manufacturing facility, Dana Wuxi Technologies Co. Ltd., according to the firm.
The company serves more than 100 customers including Beijing Jeep Corp., BMW, Daimler, Dongfeng Motor, Ford and Toyota in China.
Dana's new tech center is its 15th advanced engineering facility in the world. The operation houses more than 50 engineers, and Dana expects that number to increase to 130 by 2016.
The maker of driveline, sealing and thermal-management technologies for passenger, commercial and off-highway vehicles has more than 10 facilities in China and employs in excess of 8,000.
