FAIRLAWN. Ohio—Veyance Technologies has been named a recipient of a John Deere supplier innovation award for 2012.
John Deere presents the honor to a select group of suppliers that have demonstrated innovation in a product or service they provide to the agricultural implement maker.
Award selections are based on creativity, feasibility, collaboration and bottom-line impact. John Deere created the supplier innovation awards in 2010 to promote innovation in the company's supply base and recognize suppliers who think creatively.
Veyance Technologies, based in Fairlawn, specifically was recognized for Draper Belts manufactured in its Lincoln Neb., plant supplied to John Deere for use in agricultural combining applications. Veyance employees accepted the recognition during formal ceremonies held on March 5 in Davenport, IA.
"Goodyear Engineered Products Draper belts are designed to deliver outstanding performance especially when farmers face tough harvesting conditions", stated Jonathan Cocco, vice president and general manager of Veyance's Global Mobile Equipment Products Group.
