WAYNE, N.J.—Thomas Kenny has been named vice president of technology at Hankook Tire America Corp and head of the company's Akron technical center.
He succeeds Ray Labuda, who recently retired from that post, which he held for 20 years.
Kenny now is responsible for managing various aspects of the work performed at the tech center, including development, testing and research for the company's passenger, light truck and original equipment tire.
He has more than 30 years of experience in the tire industry, the last 18 years at the Akron tech center. Kenny spent the last 14 years in tire development, and before that served as manager of tire development and engineering.
