PITTSBURGH—Bayer MaterialScience L.L.C. has purchased nearly 11 acres adjacent to its South Deerfield, Mass., plant.
The investment allows for future expansion and, according to the firm, demonstrates the company's commitment to its Functional Films NAFTA business.
Bayer's 147,000-sq.-ft. South Deerfield facility makes thermoplastic polyurethane, polycarbonate and polycarbonate blends along with other specialty film and sheet for use in a number of market segment, including medical, automotive, sport and recreation, and safety and security.
