TOKYO—Bridgestone Corp.'s subsidiary in Thailand is adding a $41.4 million technical center that will serve the Asia Pacific region.
The tire maker said tire development, tire production technology development and quality management for operations in the Asia Pacific region that currently are handled by the company's tech center in Japan gradually will shift to the new center once it is completed.
Operated by Bridgestone Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd., the tech center is expected to open in July.
Bridgestone said it plans to further enhance the functions of new tech center, reflecting information from the market in a more timely fashion.
