DALLAS—Oxea, which produces polyols used in polyurethane production and other products, is increasing prices for two chemicals on Feb. 1 or when contracts allow.
The firm said it will hike prices for neopentylglycol and trimethylolpropane by 5 cents per pound in North America. In Latin America and Asia the cost will increase $100 per metric ton.
On Jan. 1 Oxea increased prices for the chemicals by 5 cents per pound in the U.S., and enacted price hikes in Asia Europe, too.
The company didn't provide a reason for the price increases.
