WEINHEIM, Germany—EagleBurgmann has received a $2.8 million order to supply seals to three pumping stations on the East Siberia Pacific Ocean pipeline.
The Freudenberg & Co. K.G. operation has provided more than $8 million of double and single high-pressure seals, supply systems and spare parts to the pipeline since 2006, the company said.
The pumps and seals are subject to harsh operating conditions because of the extreme climatic and geographical conditions in the area of operation. The 1.2 meter wide pipeline passes through areas prone to earthquakes and overcomes extreme differences in elevation.
The project ne is a 3,100-mile long pipeline being built in the east of Russia and will supply China, Japan and South Korea with Siberian oil. It is slated for completion in 2016.
