NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations is reintroducing its Dayton medium truck tire line this year after withdrawing it from the market two years ago.
The decision was prompted by commercial market needs combined with renewed interest from drivers, small fleets and managers, the company said. Dayton medium truck tires are made in the U.S. and offer small fleets and independent drivers quality at a lower cost, according to the tire maker.
"Increasing fleet and truck maintenance costs continue to force managers, small companies and independent drivers to search for high quality, dependable and proven solutions at a lower cost," said Bert Jones, manager, product marketing, TBR, retread and off-the-road tires for Bridgestone Commercial Solutions. "We are bringing back Dayton truck tires to provide a viable solution to the market—tires with proven technology that are immediately available to meet market demands."
