HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.—Clemson University's Center for Corporate Learning is offering discounts for people who register for the 29th Annual Clemson University Tire Industry Conference by Jan. 31.
The conference is scheduled for April 24-26 at the Westin Hilton Head Resort & Spa on Hilton Head Island.
While the agenda still is being completed, the conference will cover the usual wide range of topics, including technology, new products, industry advocacy, chemicals and raw materials, and truck tires.
Two of the presentations will address the role of tires in aviation and space exploration: "Discussion of the Mars Science Laboratory 'Curiosity' Rover Cruise Mission Landing," by Bobak Ferdowski, American systems engineer at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory; and "Aircraft Tire Production: New Horizons," by Jacob Peled, executive chairman of Pelmar Engineering Ltd.
