LANGLEY, British Columbia—Epic Polymer Systems Corp. has acquired BC Rubber Supply Ltd., a producer of rubber parts for Western Canada industries.
The purchase for an undisclosed sum gives Epic Polymer a Surrey, British Columbia- based firm that makes natural and synthetic rubber parts for the marine, mining, construction and transport industries, according to an announcement published in the Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters trade association website.
The cost of the acquisition wasn't disclosed.
BC Rubber Supply makes covered wheels and rolls, AASHTO compliant engineered bridge bearing pads, compression-molded rubber parts, custom seals and gaskets, according to Epic Polymers. The BC Rubber plant in Surrey will continue to operate under the name An Epic Polymer System, and its products will be marketed under the Epic Polymer brand.
Epic Polymer, with manufacturing operations in Western Canada and U.S., specializes manufactures engineered elastomers, cast polyurethanes and machined mechanical plastic parts. It makes engineered parts such as polyurethane wear liners, lagged rollers, bumpers and vibration pads and mechanical parts such as bearings, sprockets and gears.
