NEW YORK—Arsenal Capital Partners plans to purchase Dash Multi-Corp., a producer of formulated polyurethane, vinyl plastisol, specialty coatings and recycled rubber products.
The transaction, for an undisclosed amount, is expected to close at the end of December, Arsenal Capital said. It's the fifth acquisition the company has made in 2012.
Dash, which has annual sales in the $100 million range, operates seven manufacturing facilities and two primary businesses: MarChem, a urethanes, plastics and chemicals company; and recycled rubber, which makes high quality and durable large mat pressed products, rolled rubber and molded goods for commercial flooring and industrial applications.
The recycled rubber unit also manages a large tire recycler, processing about 30 million pounds of tires into rubber particles each year.
Concurrent with Arsenal Capital's acquisition, Dash's coated fabrics operation will become a separate entity owned by Marlen Textiles Inc.
