COLLINGWOOD, Ontario—Goodall Rubber Co. of Canada plans to move its production operation in Collingwood to a newly refurbished plant in the city.
The rubber hose and belt manufacturer is making the move to a larger, state-of-the-art location to handle additional growth. It employs about 49 at its Collingwood factory.
The move to the new site is expected to take place in mid-2013.
Goodall, a division of Lewis-Goetz & Co. Inc., elected to stay within Collingwood because of a solid work force that's in place at its factory and the historical success the firm has had working with the local community, it said.
The new facility "will continue to provide high quality products to our worldwide customers," according to Lewis-Goetz CEO Jeff Crane.
