TOKYO—Mitsubishi has selected the Toyo A24 tire for fitment on 2013 Outlander Sport, a U.S.-made crossover vehicle, the first original equipment fitment of a Mitsubishi vehicle by Toyo in the U.S.
Toyo Tire Holdings America Inc., the U.S. division of Japan's Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. Ltd., said the Outlander Sport is the most popular model for Mitsubishi in the U.S., and the 2013 version features a redesign.
The vehicle now will be equipped with standard 18-inch aluminum wheels and Toyo A24 tires for all-season grip, Toyo said. The design and construction elements of the Toyo A24 also contribute to the improved fuel economy for the vehicle.
