DULUTH, Ga.—Vystar Corp. has received a fourth U.S. patent for the firm's Vytex Natural Rubber Latex from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The company previously received three U.S. and four international patents covering various aspects of the Vytex process and its resulting composition, including the process of using aluminum hydroxide with natural rubber liquid latex to remove proteins and non-rubber materials, the company said. Vytex is an all-natural raw material that contains reduced levels of non-rubber particles and proteins found in natural rubber latex.
The newest patent, issued Dec. 4, covers the composition of liquid natural rubber latex with an ultra low level of antigenic proteins, Vystar said. Notable about the patent, it said, is that the ultra low antigenic protein level claim it is not limited to the process of using aluminum hydroxide with liquid latex.
It is a pure composition of matter claim without dependence on the aluminum hydroxide process, Vystar said.
