QINGDAO, China—Qingdao Mesnac Co. Ltd. has created Mesnac Global Sales and Marketing Co. to help meet global demand for its tire and rubber manufacturing equipment
Zheng Jiangjia, who is executive vice president of Mesnac, was named president of the new business. He takes charge of five regional sales and marketing teams that will cover Greater China, Southeast Asia, India, Europe and North and South America.
Each team will have product support specialist to provide the proper engineering and technical knowledge for Mesnac's various products, the firm said.
"We have now reached a stage in our development where the global reach to our customers has to be changed from the headquarters in Qingdao to a regional basis," Zheng said.
In the Americas, the change means enhanced local support for customers, according to P. David Jones, general manager for the region.
He said Mesnac's products have reached a world class standard, but said marketing those lines to customers in his area has to be coupled "with assurances about local support after sales service. It is what is expected from a global supplier."
