YOKKAICHI, Japan—A fire occurred Nov. 15 at a JSR Corp. emulsion SBR facility in Yokkaichi rubber factory, but was extinguished in a couple of hours.
There are no reports of injuries, and JSR said more details will be released as information becomes available.
The International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Products lists the factory as having the capacity to produce 150,000 metric tons of ESBR a year, and another 35,000 tons of high-styrene SBR and nitrile rubber.
