FINDLAY, Ohio (Nov. 13, 2012)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. and Findlay City Schools have completed work on the Cooper Tire Track & Field Complex at Findlay High School.
The official opening was marked on Nov. 9 during a ribbon cutting at the new complex with Cooper Tire executives and school leaders in attendance.
Cooper announced in April plans to build the complex to mark its upcoming 100-year anniversary. The company decided to join with the city school district to build a multipurpose facility and establish a monument to the company's legacy, the Findlay-based tire maker said.
Features for the complex include a nine-lane track made of sustainable recycled rubber and a multi-use competitive field.
