AKRON (Nov. 2, 2012)—Attendance at the fall ACS Rubber Division technical conference and exhibition in Cincinnati jumped 49 percent from the comparable 2010 event in Milwaukee, Wis., to 2,492 participants, according to Ed Miller, executive director of the association.
Overall, the group had 488 technical meeting registrants and 141 participants in its educational workshops.
Miller, in a report to the division's Executive Committee, said all comments from exhibitors were very positive. The Cincinnati expo occurs in even-number years, with the major rubber exhibition taking place in positive-number years.
The International Rubber & Advanced Materials in Health Care Expo, as well as the division's 184th technical meeting, will take place next year in Cleveland.
Miller said the organization is speaking with potential partners for a business conference to add to the program.
