FINDLAY, Ohio (Oct. 15, 2012)—Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. has named Phil Kortokrax vice president of manufacturing for the firm's North America tire operations.
In his new role, Kortokrax is responsible for leading Cooper Tire's manufacturing operations within the U.S., which includes tire plants located in Findlay; Texarkana, Ark., and Tupelo, Miss.
Kortokrax joined Cooper more than 20 years ago, beginning his career with positions in information technology and then moving into manufacturing leadership roles at the company's Findlay plant.
In 2000, he returned to Cooper Tire's corporate offices as manager and then director of internal audit. He later became general manager of Max-Trac Tire Co. Inc., which is a subsidiary of Cooper. In 2008, he returned once again to Cooper Tire corporate as vice president, dealer channel sales, and three years later, was appointed vice president, strategic marketing and planning.
