BUTLER, Wis.— MRPC Molded Rubber and Plastic Corp. has added two presses for plastics and silicone molding as well as design technology software.
The equipment and technology will increase production capabilities, ensure accuracy and expedite the design process, MRPC said.
The additions include a 250-ton Toshiba electric injection molding machine, which MRPC said uses state-of-the-art controls to make the process cleaner and more precise.
The company also added a vertical injection/transfer molding machine to provide additional capacity and allows MRPC to meet the growing demand for its silicone and rubber capabilities.
MRPC said it used to outsource the MoldFlow Insight 360 program, but now has its molding simulation technology in-house to accelerate the design process of thermoplastic and silicone parts.
The company said this will speed up the part design review process and produce faster time-to-market and lower overall cost to customers.
