CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Sept. 18, 2012)—Pathway Polymers Inc. has signed an agreement with NeuMaq in Chile to provide its TyrFil polyurethane tire fill/flatproofing products to El Teniente, the world's largest underground copper mining facility.
The El Teniente mine is operated by Codelco, a state-owned copper mining company, along with Soletanche-Bachy, a geotechnical and civil engineering contractor, according to Pathway Polymers.
Pathway, a subsidiary of the Vita Group, supplies flatproofing solutions to the mining, construction, rental and OEM industries in the U.S. and international markets.
