WAYNE, N.J. (Sept. 14, 2012)—Chrysler Group L.L.C. has added Hankook Tire Co. Inc.'s Optimo H725 as an OE fitment on the all-wheel-drive versions of the 2013 Chrysler 300 and Dodge Charger SXT, SXT Plus and R/T models.
The tires supplied will be for the Pentastar V-6 and V-8 versions of these Chrysler and Dodge AWD flagship sedans in size P235/55R19H, Hankook said.
“Adding these Chrysler Group vehicles to our original equipment activities illustrates our continued commitment to both vehicle manufacturers and consumers,” said Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook Tire America Corp., called the firm's OE partnerships an “an important element of our overall strategy for growth in North Americaà.”
Hankook has been supplying Chrysler Group's Dodge brand since 2007 with OE tires for the Dodge Journey.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The new OE fitments are in addition to contracts the South Korean tire maker has with Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co., BMW A.G., Audi A.G., Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Motor Corp. and Volkswagen A.G.
